Please don’t just draw “hand on neck” every time you need to portray someone feeling shy, awkward, or uncomfortable.
The human body is extremely versatile. There’s plenty of ways to depict that someone is not at ease. Usually what happens is that people get into an unstable pose, one that lets them shift around and fidget. They also express their quirks, which can vary wildly between people, and can actually serve as a good characterisation element. They might fiddle with their hair, touch their cheeks, rub their wrists, stand on their toes on one foot, hide their hands behind their back, etc. Just act it out yourself. Would you just put your hand on your neck every time you feel uncomfortable in some way? I’m sure you’ll find plenty of natural poses to use if you just think about it for a second.
Also: don’t tag this as reference. I will murder you if you do. The entire point of this is to not rely on references too much when it’s so easy and important to come up with poses of your own. Use your imagination for Christ’s sake. That’s what you draw for in the first place, right?
